On 13 February 2025, idsMED Singapore hosted over 30 guests from the Indian School of Business (ISB), comprising students of the Post Graduate Programme (PGP) Co ’25, faculty and staff members, at the idsMED Learning Academy. Two senior leaders of idsMED showcased how digital transformation significantly impacted idsMED’s operations management and business progress.
This visit is part of the "Digital Transformation in Services" course taught by Professor Vijaya Sunder M, Assistant Professor (Practice) in the Operations Management Area and the Academic Director of the Centre for Business Innovation at ISB. Students earn credits for reporting their findings from their interactions with corporate leaders and, in the process, gain valuable insights into the thought processes of senior leaders across various verticals in companies, particularly from service sectors.
Mr. Shrikanth Sankar, SVP and Managing Director of idsMED Singapore, warmly welcomed the guests in the iLA with an opening speech, highlighting idsMED’s contributions to Singapore’s medical industry. This was followed by Mr. Edward Poon, Senior Manager of Operations, who shared how digital transformation has enhanced data-driven decision-making at idsMED. He introduced the SPARKS BizApp and demonstrated its role in improving productivity and performance. He further illustrated a couple of real-world case studies, including idsMED Singapore’s partnership with HCA Hospice to enhance complementary equipment loan service for patients.
