On 22 February 2024, idsMED Singapore hosted over 30 postgraduate students from the Indian School of Business (ISB) at the idsMED Learning Academy (iLA). Six Senior Leaders showcased the different areas of idsMED that have been harmonised with digitalisation and the impact on the organisation and business over time.
This international study trek is part of the "Digital Transformation in Services" course taught by Professor Vijaya Sunder M who is an Assistant Professor (Practice) in the Operations Management Area and the Academic Director of the Centre for Business Innovation at ISB. Students enrolled in the course will have the opportunity to earn credits by reporting their findings, which will be based on their interactions with corporate leaders. Through this process, they will strive to understand the thought processes of the senior leaders across various verticals in companies, particularly from the service sectors.
As the guests streamed in and secured their seats in the iLA, Mr. Srikant Lal, Managing Director – Group Buying and Supply Chain, welcomed them with an opening speech which included the idsMED Group Overview. This was followed by Mr. Shrikanth Sankar, SVP and Managing Director – idsMED Singapore, who gave an overview of idsMED Singapore. Later on, Mr. Michael Pan, Director – Medical Solutions explained how the sales team utilises and integrates BizApp in business operations seamlessly.
After the tea break, the programme continued with presentations by Mr. Ho Choon Leong, Manager – Engineering, and Mr. Edward Poon, Senior Manager – Operations. Mr. Ho Choon Leong delved into how digitalisation has retained and secured procedure information while Mr. Edward Poon discussed how digitalisation has simplified processes.
Finally, Mr. Benjamin Soh, Senior Manager – Strategic Front Office, gave an overview of how the data collected from BizApp helps in business analysis.
To wrap up the day’s proceedings, Prof Vijaya from ISB extended his heartfelt gratitude to the idsMED team for their support, time, and dedication towards the study trek and presented the speakers with a token of appreciation.
