The Methodist Welfare Services (MWS) Charity Gala 2024, themed “Colours of Love” symbolised the organisation’s five impact areas. The colours - gold, green, orange, purple and blue expressed love for the 5 Impact Areas: The Chronically Ill, Frail and Destitute, Families Experiencing Distress, Seniors Who are Socially Isolated, Youth at Risk, and Children from Disadvantaged Backgrounds.
MWS, a non-profit organisation, is dedicated to serving individuals facing the challenges of poverty in various aspects of life such as relationships, physical and socio-emotional health, and finances, regardless of age, race, and religion.
On 22 March 2024, 10 representatives from idsMED Singapore attended the MWS Charity Gala held at The St. Regis Singapore, to raise funds which will go towards supporting MWS Nursing Homes in Singapore. idsMED sponsored a table at the gala, as part of its commitment to supporting MWS.
The idsMED SG representatives from departments including FSS, Human Resources, Sales Order Management, Revenue & Funnel Management, Regulatory, Data Management & Intelligence and Inventory Management, were all dressed to impress at the event.
The evening was filled with joyous celebration, featuring a delightful array of colours, exquisite cuisine and captivating entertainment, all in support of a meaningful cause. Highlights of the programme included a Live Auction and special performances featuring collaborations between esteemed local artists and beneficiaries, as well as MWS’s CEO, Mr. Calvin Ngo, which brought the night to a high note.
Mr. Calvin Ngo delivered a speech sharing insights into the future direction of nursing homes, shedding light on the operations and the challenges they face. The stories of beneficiaries underscored the importance of donations and how each contribution, no matter big or small, can make a significant difference in the lives of those in need.
Funds raised will be channelled towards providing 24/7 residential care for the frail and chronically sick, many of whom are from the low-income, wheelchair-bound, or bedridden in the MWS Nursing Homes which includes the newest facility set to open in Eunos in 2025.
The long-standing partnership between idsMED and MWS extends beyond the provision of solutions and encompasses a commitment to lending a helping hand. idsMED is honoured to have been invited to such a meaningful and insightful event, which brings light to idsMED’s promise, “We care with a HEART because your life matters”.
