According to key statistics provided by the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) Singapore based on the Singapore Renal Registry Annual Report 2020, there are currently more than 8,500 dialysis patients in, with about 5.7 new patients diagnosed daily.
On 20 July 2022, Senior Minister of State for Health, Communications, and Information, Dr Janil Puthucheary officially opened the new San Wang Wu Ti-KDF Dialysis Centre. Located at Admiralty Link, the KDF opened this new dialysis centre to extend its reach to serve more dialysis patients in Singapore.
idsMED Singapore Senior Manager – Medical Solutions, Mr Law Kia Wei and his team went above and beyond to initiate a collaboration with Hublet to provide the KDF with the use of an automated self-check-out tablet solution. This equipment allows the KDF to manage and customise the content of their tablets via cloud-based software and solve workflow challenges like charging and data security.
As part of introducing the use of medical technology (MedTech) and customising exercise programs into patients’ treatment and care, Hublet has implemented a secure and multi-pronged strategy to improve the patients’ dialysis experience. With the multi-pronged strategy, patients are provided with entertainment during dialysis treatments and access to educational resources such as digital health brochures, recipes, and pre-recorded health webinars where patients can learn more about how to better manage their conditions.
“Hublet has been used in many hospitals and day-care centres in Finland. It has helped both the medical staff in their work tasks and patients to improve their well-being during their stays. I believe this time, Hublet will successfully support the new dialysis centre to increase their patient’s experience.” - Anissa Margono, International Sales Manager of Hublet.
