Endoscopy is a medical practice that allows doctors to inspect, observe, and do therapeutic procedures on a patients’ internal organs and vessels without performing major surgery.

An endoscope is a thin, lighted fibre-optic tube with a lens at one end and a video camera on the other, allowing images to be captured inside the body and displayed on a screen. It helps to see abnormalities such as inflamed tissue, unusual growths, bleeding, or other conditions and identify problems in the lungs, stomach, and the lower digestive tract.
