idsMED Singapore continues its support of the Sengkang General Hospital (SKH) corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative by organising a follow-up activity for its staff on 8 August 2023 to create a second batch of crafted items. This second batch of crafts will go toward SKH’s ongoing Kindness Initiative involving the sales of donated items to raise funds for stateless patients in need.

The event aligned with Singapore’s National Day celebration, making it a fitting occasion to give back to the community. By participating in this CSR activity, idsMED Singapore joined the nation in celebrating its birthday in the spirit of unity and of being one people.

On the eve of Singapore’s National Day, employees at idsMED Singapore gathered at the Learning Academy brimming with excitement for the combined National Day and SKH CSR activity. The gathering started with a delightful catered bento-style lunch, each box accompanied by a side of fresh salad and sliced fruits. A medley of Singapore’s National Day songs resonated in the background, fostering a sense of patriotism and unity among all attendees, who relished the scrumptious meal.

Beyond the culinary delights, the session proved to be an excellent opportunity for colleagues from different teams to interact and nurture stronger bonds among themselves.

Continuing with the CSR activity, the participants were initially introduced to various techniques for tie-dyeing fabric. Following this informative session, they were given the option to channel their creativity onto a T-shirt or a tote bag. It was heartwarming to see everyone enthusiastically experimenting with different colours and patterns, and eagerly anticipating the moment of unveiling their creations as the fabrics unfolded. This collection of uniquely designed T-shirts and tote bags constitutes idsMED Singapore’s second CSR contribution to SKH, exemplifying the company’s commitment to the CSR cause.

Amidst the enjoyable activity, participants invested a remarkable amount of care and attention into their designs, demonstrating a good example of how idsMED Singapore cares with a HEART! The hope is that these heartfelt sentiments will resonate not only with those who purchase the items but also with the ultimate beneficiaries of this fundraising initiative.

Once again, the HR team did an exceptional job in organising this session, providing employees with the platform to serve the community with a positive attitude. The organising team also extends their appreciation to the participants for their remarkable enthusiasm, and their willingness to set aside time from their work commitments to engage in this initiative.

This CSR activity in collaboration with SKH remains an ongoing effort. Let’s sustain this good momentum and continue the impactful work demonstrating the unwavering commitment of idsMED Singapore!
