Once again, idsMED Singapore is honoured to be part of Ageing Asia’s World Ageing Festival. Held in conjunction with the 10th Eldercare Innovation Awards, this year’s festival adopts a hybrid format, running virtually from 23-27 May and in-person from 24-25 May 2022 at the One Farrer Hotel Singapore.

Through its collaboration with Gama Healthcare, idsMED Singapore won the Innovation of the Year Award for Best Product Implementation which demonstrates improvement in the quality of life for elders. The award was presented at the 10th Eldercare Innovation Awards Ceremony. A total of over 70 award finalists from eight countries were recognised for their global ageing innovations, solutions and models.

“idsMED Singapore’s participation in the World Ageing Festival has gained global exposure to the market for the ageing population. Similarly, this conference gives us the opportunity to showcase new technologies and innovative solutions to improve the quality of life for our seniors," said Mr. Law Kia Wei, Senior Manager for Medical Solutions.

Representing idsMED Singapore, Kia Wei and his team showcased products ranging from medical consumables to ward furniture solutions. Based on the needs and challenges of the Intermediate Long-Term Care (ILTC) sector, three solutions were launched and garnered a lot of attention and interest from the attendees. The solutions were the:
• mobile instant patient isolation solution (Gama Healthcare Rediroom),
• contact-free bed monitoring system (Vitalalerter),
• virtual rehabilitation system with games (SilverFit Alois).

The team was pleased to have the Guest of Honour, Mr. Tan Kiat How, Minister of State, Ministry of Communications and Information and Ministry of National Development, try out the SilverFit Alois at the idsMED booth.

Over the course of two days, the idsMED team engaged with CEOs, administrators, and general managers of various community care providers, ministries, and potential partners to present and explain the different features of the innovative solutions for elders.

Prizes were given to seniors who participated in and won the idsMED SilverFit Challenge.

The conference was an eye-opener to many, and everyone learned essential information and innovative solutions about ageing.

Congratulations Kia Wei and the team!
