idsMED Singapore Raises Awareness During Month of Hand Hygiene Day 2024

The World Health Organisation (WHO) Hand Hygiene Day celebrated annually every 5th of May, was observed by hospitals in Singapore. Themed "SAVE LIVES: Clean Your Hands," idsMED Singapore participated in events organised by hospitals across Singapore from 3-17 May 2024, showcasing infection control products and promoting effective hand hygiene. Through interactive booths and hands-on experiences, idsMED SG reinforced the importance of hand hygiene among healthcare workers.

This year, the World Health Organisation (WHO) continues to advance its goal of maintaining a global effort to support healthcare workers in improving hand hygiene. Through innovative and impactful training and education, healthcare workers are better equipped with knowledge, skills, and behaviours, empowering them with enhanced hand hygiene and infection prevention control.

Inspired by the annual “SAVE LIVES: Clean Your Hands” initiative, hospitals in Singapore are actively raising awareness about good hand hygiene among hospital staff.

Aligning with the WHO World Hand Hygiene Day 2024, which is celebrated annually every 5th of May, idsMED Singapore actively participated in events organised by hospitals across Singapore from 3 to 17 May 2024. At these events, the idsMED booth featured infection control consumables from various brands as well as InnoQ.

In preparation for the events throughout the month of May, the Field Sales Services (FSS), Medical Specialty Care (MSC) and Marketing Communications teams collaborated seamlessly, from preparing the materials needed to the packing process for each location.

The main highlight of the booth was providing hands-on experience with the products displayed, reinforcing the importance of good hand hygiene. Hospital staff and the public were encouraged to experience the texture and effectiveness of the hand sanitisers. After demonstrating good hand hygiene practices using the fluorescent gel and CouCou box, participants were invited to roll a colour-coded dice to determine the prize that they would win.

Hands-on experiences and product demonstrations are a great way to illustrate the usage and effectiveness of the products. Face-to-face interactions also allowed our FSS and MSC teams to connect with the participants and introduce the range of products. Thank you to Team idsMED SG for your tremendous effort!
