The Singapore Breast Imaging Conference (SBIC) 2024, themed "Breast Imaging: Today and Tomorrow - Shaping Breast Care in Asia", brings together professionals, experts, and enthusiasts from the field of breast care and imaging. SBIC commits to advancing breast imaging practices within the region through educational sessions, pre-conference workshops, technology showcases, industry exhibitions, and more.
idsMED Singapore, in collaboration with GE Healthcare, attended SBIC’s Pre-Conference Workshop hosted by Thomson Medical Centre on 24 May 2024. This workshop served as a platform for renowned experts and professionals in the field of breast imaging to come together to share their knowledge on the latest developments in breast care and acquire hands-on experience in using the latest imaging equipment and techniques.
The “Novel Horizontal Approach Biopsy: For Mammography & Contrast Enhanced Mammography (CEM)” is a hands-on workshop on biopsy with the novel horizontal approach and CEM. Field experts, Dr. Niketa Chotai, Head and Consultant, Radlink Women Imaging Centre; Dr. Hollie Lim, Senior Consultant, Tan Tock Seng Hospital; and Dr. Amanda Liew, Consultant, National Cancer Centre, shared the latest reviews and value of CEM. The hands-on experience allowed the attendees to tap into mammography biopsy coupled with reviews on clinical cases.
idsMED SG’s participation in the practical session allowed its Imaging Field Sales and Service representatives to understand the workflow clearly from the professionals as well as connect with them and the experts in the field.
