On 7 October 2022, idsMED Malaysia held the much-anticipated CEO Townhall together with the Annual Awards and Appreciation (AAA) 2022 at the idsMED Learning Academy.
Mr. Ben Chang, Group CEO and Founding Partner highlighted that even though idsMED is going through one of its most challenging years for FY2023, the company has come a long way and made significant progress in its first 11 years.
With the current Strategic Plan 2021-23 Breakthrough goal in mind of achieving the Monetary Triggering Event (MTE) and readiness to elevate the business further, idsMED has rigorously implemented the Strategic Plan as part of its transformation toward becoming Asia’s Leading Medical Supply Chain Solutions Company. Some of the recent notable milestones included the opening of the Singapore idsMED Head Quarters for the region, empowering Joey Lee to lead InnoQ to increase flow in the distributor structure and bring products direct to market; and, most importantly, restructuring the office to segregate into the front office, middle office, and back office.
Ben emphasised the importance of understanding and aligning the job functions to the idsMED Business model, the 3-Legged Stool: Front office (OPC), which aims to be Entrepreneurial, while the Middle Office continues to strive towards Operations Excellence and the Back Office will continue to provide solid professional and corporate support.
He stressed the importance of knowing everyone’s roles and KPIs for a unified strategy to strengthen and build a scalable and sustainable business model.
In this final year of the idsMED Strategic Plan 2021-23, Ben encouraged everyone to face the challenges and exceed the targets by working harder and smarter for a breakthrough in the second half. Ben also reiterated the importance of ingraining and focusing on the 5 Strategic Imperatives to Delivering Breakthrough 2023!
Following the CEO townhall, Dr. Adzuan Rahman, idsMED Malaysia’s Managing Director gave a short speech, which was followed by Shawn Ling from Human Resources, who explained the significance of the Loyalty and HEART Awards.
A total of 13 members received the Loyalty Awards as a token of appreciation for their long years of service. Each received an impressive idsMED logo solid gold coin of different weights according to the years of service and a lovely commemorative photo frame plaque. The awardees were as follows:

Three members received the prestigious HEART Award for their exceptional behavior in delivering the idsMED Brand Promise. For this special award, the recipients received a commemorative plaque and a holiday package valued at USD 500 for two people, including hotel and meals. The HEART Awardees were: Koh Ker Zhi, Gunabalan Kanthan, and John Tiong.
Mr. Rufi Susanto, idsMED Group President, gave the closing speech and acknowledged the presence of Dr. Adzuan Rahman and En Ainul Hasnizam.
