While there are many organizations in the healthcare space, idsMED has a goal of being an organization that is brand or principal independent, which is something that interests me the most. This organization aspires to provide true solutions to the needs of our customer irrespective of business partners; I have seen that we are being sincere in doing our part in making a better tomorrow.

I joined idsMED Indonesia on 2017 as Financial Planning & Analysis Manager. In this role, I have been exposed to many commercial cases and I have grown with a mindset of a business problem solver. I was also fortunate to be involved with some M&A projects, which has certainly been an extremely valuable experience for me. For now, I have transferred to corporate finance team in Malaysia overseeing all idsMED countries. This is a totally different feeling which I can contribute more for the finance transformation. idsMED has provided an opportunity of career development and given me the exposure to work overseas in the Group. With more Gen Z-ers and millennials joining the company in the future, I see that idsMED believes in flexibility of work as a high priority and the need of a developed system as well as culture to enable that.

idsMED is like second home for me. What started as a job for me 10 years ago has become a part of my life today. During my tenure to-date, I have seen the development from IDS (M) Sdn Bhd to LF Asia and then to IDS Medical Systems. This growth has given me confidence to continue with this organization. I would say I was lucky to have a lot of exposure to work with all level of colleagues. Every year I was given new task to grow the business in southern region and thus it was a great learning experience for me even till today. Being given authority to set up the idsMED JB branch and actively being involved in the senior management yearly meeting, I came to further understand the company’s vision and direction. Today we have a healthy growing JB branch and I can use my experience to grow idsMED’s business in the southern region of Malaysia.

One thing I have learned from my mentors are “idsMED comprises of its employees. If you want things moving and growing in the company then it must start with yourself. We must be the first to make it happen” Saying this I hope to see the young generation joining us grow, diversify and make a difference in the medical industry. I believe we have been long enough in the industry to set the standards among other local distributor company. To people who might join us in the future, let me tell you that idsMED is different and we have the best platform for them to grow.
