As an initiative on the embarkation of a new year, Project Eagle was launched on 18th January 2020 in idsMED Malaysia. Project Eagle is one of the biggest undertakings on the improvement of internal efficiencies and cost control by the establishment of a systematic framework, and it is a milestone achievement in our transformational journey after weeks of insightful discussion between the key operational departments in idsMED. With 9 Dots Consulting as our partner, we will be able to implement the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution with Microsoft Dynamics 365 in regard to the management and coordination of all resources, information, and functions of idsMED, alongside with our Vice President of Corporate IT, Mr. Andy Tan, who will be heading this initiative.
At the launching event, present were idsMED CEO & Founding Partner, Mr. Ben Chang; President & Managing Director of idsMED Indonesia, Mr. Rufinus Irman Susanto; Senior Vice President & Managing Director of idsMED Malaysia, Dato’ Dr. Adzuan Rahman; Vice President of Strategic Development, Mr. Stewart Kwok; and Vice President of Finance, Mr. Chuah Keng Yeong; alongside with Mr. Su Sing King from 9 Dots Consulting to commence the ceremonial launching of Project Eagle. It was later commemorated with a cake cutting and champagne popping ceremony and topped off with a traditional Malaysian performance comprising of the different types of dances from the multicultural backgrounds of Malaysia.
Prior to the launching, Ben Chang gave his opening remarks on the importance of Project Eagle, and why it is a step forward to the evolving nature of businesses in today’s everchanging environment. In addition, Vice President of Corporate IT, Mr. Andy Tan also gave the project overview and organization of Project Eagle in pertinence to the implementation of the ERP solution with Microsoft Dynamics 365. Furthermore, Managing Director of Solutions Plus, Mr. Leonard Ling also discussed further on the effects of this transformational journey and how we can work together to implement this solution cohesively with all related departments to smoothly transition the organizational culture. Lastly, Mr. Nicholas Tan, Director of Corporate IT and Mr. Su Sing King from 9 Dots elaborated on an update of the project status of the ERP, a timeline of the implementation and key features of Microsoft Dynamics 365.
