Indonesia is in grief.
On 22 December 2018, a powerful tsunami struck several coastal regions of Banten in Java and Lampung in Sumatra, Indonesia, killing at least 437 people. Another 14,059 were injured, according to the National Disaster Management Authority.
Around 400 houses in Pandeglang located near the coast collapsed due to the wave, in addition to nine hotels. Thirty other houses in South Lampung were also heavily damaged. The road connecting Serang and Pandeglang was cut off.
Based on the promise to care with a heart because your life matters, idsMED Indonesia lends a helping hand to our brothers and sisters in Banten. On 4 January 2019, our team went to Banten with an aim of handing over collected funds from the staff as an aid to the victims in the regency, to the district government. The donation will contribute to providing the survivors with immediate access to their needs.
