idsMED Indonesia, a leading provider of medical equipment and solutions, recently hosted a visit from their partner, Shantou Institute of Ultrasonic Instruments Co., Ltd (SIUI) from China. This visit, which was held last 2-7 June 2024, aimed to strengthen the partnership with idsMED to gain a deeper understanding of the healthcare equipment market in Indonesia.
The SIUI delegation, led by Mr. Li Delai, President and Chairman of the Board, Mr. Yu Yanxiong, Vice President of Manufacturing, and Ms. Chen Donghan, Director of Medical Overseas Business, was warmly received by idsMED Indonesia’s top executives. The reception included Mr. Rufi Susanto, Group President of idsMED; Mr. Ramli Laukaban, Managing Director & SVP Indonesia; and Mr. Ardia Karnugroho, Senior Manager-Agency & Product Development.
A Comprehensive Visit Schedule
The delegates began with a tour of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), one of Indonesia’s most prestigious universities. During this visit, they had the honour of meeting the Rector of UGM, Prof. Ova Emilia, M. Med. Ed., Sp. OG (K)., Ph.D.
Following the visit to the university, the SIUI and idsMED teams toured industrial sites in Central Java and West Java. This tour provided updates on the latest developments in Indonesia’s healthcare equipment industry.
The visit concluded with a meeting at the Ministry of Health (KEMENKES) with Dr. Dra. Lucia Rizka Andalucia, Apt, M. Pharm, MARS, the Director General of Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices. During this meeting, the group received valuable insights into the latest policies and regulations from the Indonesian Ministry of Health.
